Summer Kohlrabi
I made kohlrabi for the first time ever tonight. I didn’t even know what it was before yesterday, but Luke and I picked one up at a local market and the farmer gave me this recipe. It was pretty good, a little heavy even as a side dish, and I think I would like to try it again using a different recipe. Interesting though…it tastes like broccoli raw! We ate it with a simple salad...

1 cup butter
3/4 cup dark brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1 tbsp molasses
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs

very good husband
i just peeked outside at luke leaf blowing our front yard (such a very good husband). he had picked up a small branch and was studying it. i knew immediately why and it made me smile. i watched him carefully set it down in a safe place on the yard and felt my love for him increase (as it has more every day since we became one). how blessed i am. how beautiful it is to know someone, even at times...
lessons from IKEA
